Acropora Echinata prefers a high level of light in combination with a strong alternating flow of water in the aquarium. Adding calcium, strontium and other trace elements to water is imperative for good health. This coral benefits from extra feeding. For this purpose, the finest microplankton can be added to the water column on a weekly basis. The Acropora Echinata will catch this at night with the help of outstretched polyps out of the water. Acropora Echinata is one of the harder to keep Acropora species. In our experience, however, as is so often the case, the aquarium-grown specimens are much more robust and can be kept well in a well established and supplied tank.
