Reef Zlements Co Cobalt (Co / Cobalt) – Trace Elements

Cobalt is a trace element that occurs in low concentrations in the oceans, varying between 0,002µg/L in the north central Pacific and 0,39µg/L in the Indian Ocean.

Cobalt is an integral component of vitamin B12 and plays a fundamental role in DNA and cellular processes and is a nutrient for macroalgae. It has been suggested that cobalt could be a limiting factor for bioavailability in the oceans and therefore an important trace element for the life of our animals.

It is important to check cobalt levels through ICP analysis and to ensure adequate levels and stability by administering a cobalt supplement if necessary.

Reef Zlements Co Cobalt, used in conjunction with a regular testing procedure, allows any aquarist to correct cobalt levels and ensure that levels in the aquarium remain within the optimal range for their animals.

1 ml of Reef Zlements Co Cobalt increases the cobalt concentration of 100 liters by 2 µg/l.
