Magnesium is a macro element that is very abundant in reefs around the world.
It is part of the coral skeleton and other animals, and is involved in a variety of cellular processes such as cell division, skeletal calcification, and others.

Magnesium interacts with calcium and affects calcium precipitation, making it more difficult. 

Magnesium is a macro element that is quickly depleted from the water in our aquariums. Therefore, it is important to dose magnesium in a stable and constant way. The magnesium content should be checked regularly and adjusted so that it is optimal, ie between 1280 and 1440 mg/l.

With Reef Zlements Mg Magnesium, used in conjunction with a regular testing procedure, any aquarist can correct magnesium levels and ensure levels in their aquarium water remain within the optimal range for their animals.
