Ricordea florida – Caribbean disc anemone

Disc anemones are generally very easy to keep and are also recommended for beginners. This species doesn't seem to be particularly more sensitive than the other species. Since they also live on zooxanthellae, they should receive medium to high light, also in relation to the good colors of the discs. Nevertheless, the attitude is definitely down to earth. This species does not like strong currents. The particularly colorful species require more light than the simply colored species. It's not uncommon for an animal to have more than one mouth!
