Phosphate is one of the nutrients with high consumption and often low availability both in reef aquariums and in unpolluted natural coral reefs. Phosphate is essential for numerous growth processes of the coral skeleton and tissue.
In the natural coral reef environment, insoluble, particulate excretions from fish and plankton provide corals with phosphate, which is essential for metabolism and growth. These particles can be easily filtered out of the water and used by the corals. Tropic Marin® has implemented this knowledge in a new product, Tropic Marin® Phos-Feed, for the ongoing phosphate supply in reef aquariums.
Tropic Marin® Phos-Feed is based on the natural phosphate supply mechanisms that occur in coral reefs in the wild. For the first time, phosphate is specifically dosed in your reef aquarium without constantly increasing the phosphate concentration in the water column. This stimulates coral growth and the corals show natural patterns of skeletal development and bright colors, just like in the intact coral reef under natural conditions. Insoluble phosphate particles are the most effective way to provide corals with this important nutrient.
?
Targeted application, best dosage control and optimal effectiveness through the use of insoluble particulate ingredients. Inspired by the best natural biological principles.
-
Inspired by the best natural biological principles, utilizes an innovative new transport mechanism for phosphates into the coral.
-
Tropic Marin® Phos-Feed contains insoluble phosphate particles that promote numerous biological processes in the coral, ensuring stronger growth and more intense colors.
-
The halogen trace elements contained, such as iodide, fluoride and bromide, replace elements that are consumed by the increased growth rate of corals and calcareous red algae.
-
Recent studies show that insoluble, particulate phosphates are significantly more effective for coral growth and maintenance than dissolved forms.
- Tropic Marin® Phos feed and Tropic Marin® Phos Start are the first products that supply the coral with phosphate in particle form in a targeted and measured manner.
Application: Tropic Marin® Phos-Feed can be added at any time of the day or night. Since the application clouds the water somewhat and in order to take advantage of the coral's polyp opening at night, Tropic Marin® Phos-Feed should preferably be used around the time the lighting is switched off. Temporary cloudiness of the water is normal. After the turbidity subsides, the water is particularly clear.
Half fill a container with approx. 200 ml of reverse osmosis water and add the calculated amount of Tropic Marin® Phos-Feed. Mix the powder and water well by stirring. Pour the suspension into the current of the aquarium and rinse the beaker with aquarium water.
Dosage: Start with a daily dosage of 1 ml (small measuring spoon) of Tropic Marin® Phos-Feed per 200 l of aquarium water. If after four weeks the phosphate concentration between 0,05 ppm and 0,15 ppm has not been reached in the aquarium, double the dosage to 2 ml (large measuring spoon) per 200 l. We recommend not exceeding a maximum dosage of 4 ml per 200 l.
