Tropic Marin CARBON high-performance activated carbon 5 kg

Only water that is free of yellow tint allows the light to penetrate unfiltered to the corals, plants and fish in order to make them appear in their natural colors. Tropic Marin® Carbon is a high-performance activated carbon with a high absorption capacity for yellow and pollutants. Compared to most other activated carbons, phosphates and silicates are only released in small quantities. After just a short period of use, there is a significant improvement in the appearance of the water due to the yellow and pollutants being removed. The fosterlings benefit from the improved light availability and appear in their natural colors again.

Dosage quantity: xl aquarium volume = ½ xg Tropic Marin® Carbon
400 g of Tropic Marin® Carbon is sufficient for 800 l of aquarium water.
 
The substrate can be used both for continuous use and for short-term use in a filter.
For continuous use, we recommend filtering approx. 1% of the pool volume per hour through the activated carbon. Tropic Marin® Carbon should then be replaced after 8 weeks at the latest.
Alternatively, the carbon can be used as needed (e.g. after adding medication) in a filter at a rapid flow over 1 to 3 days to filter the pollutants from the water.
