New corals often bring unwanted organisms, parasites or contamination into the aquarium, which can endanger the long-established coral population.
Tropic Marin® Coral Clean reliably removes the most common epiphytes, parasites and impurities in one easy-to-use bath. The animals that have fallen off allow an immediate success check, which shows whether further baths are necessary.
?
Tropic Marin® Coral Clean is phosphate-free and gentler than other forms of cleaning baths such as Lugol's solution or fresh water.
– Cleans corals from the most common mounters, parasites and contaminants
– Unlike conventional PVP-iodine for wound care without phosphate
– Gentle treatment of the corals
– No pelvic stress from drugs or biocides as it is used as a bath
– Immediate success control, fallen off riders and parasites remain in the bathroom
A glass or plastic container, which holds the coral during the treatment, is filled with seawater from the aquarium. For every 100 ml of water, add 1 ml of Tropic Marin® Coral Clean to the prepared container and mix well with the water. The coral is completely immersed in this short bath and left for ten to fifteen minutes. Before returning the coral to the aquarium, the coral should be gently shaken in the bath to shake off plaque and unwanted organisms attached.
Coral crabs should be carefully removed before treatment and put back into the coral after treatment. Aquarium water quality should be checked regularly to maintain coral health.
Note: In some cases it can take up to two days for the coral to fully open again after the bath.
